Terms of Use

The short version: it is your ledger, your data, and your responsibility to keep a copy.

  1. 01Accepting these terms

By using Money Tracker you agree to what follows. If you do not, please stop using the app and export your data first — Settings → Import & export will give you the whole history in one file.

  2. 02What the app is for

Money Tracker is for recording your own personal income and expenses. It is not a bank, not a payment service, and it does not move money. Nothing in it is financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the records your bank keeps.

  3. 03Your account

You sign in with Google, so this app never sees or stores a password. Google confirms who you are, and the app receives only your account id, email address and profile picture. Keep that Google account secure: anyone who can sign into it can reach your ledger. Signing out from Settings → Security ends the session on that device.

  4. 04Trips you share

An invitation is a real grant, not a preview. Somebody you invite as an editor can add, change and delete expenses in that trip, and what they enter counts in everybody's balances — including yours. Check the address before you send it, invite people you would trust with the ledger, and remove the access when the trip is over. The app records what is entered; it does not arbitrate who owes what.

  5. 05Accuracy is yours

Every figure in the app is one you typed. Balances, budgets and totals are arithmetic over your entries, so they are exactly as accurate as those entries are. Check anything that matters against your bank or your receipts before acting on it.

  6. 06Availability and backups

The app runs on hosted infrastructure that can be slow, interrupted or unavailable, and it is provided as-is with no guarantee of uptime or of continued availability. Reminders are handed to your browser's push service rather than delivered by this app, so a notification may arrive late, or not at all — do not rely on one for anything that matters. Export your history from time to time and keep the file somewhere you control.

  7. 07Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the app does. The date above says when they last changed; continuing to use the app after that means the new version applies.
